A recent survey of employers forecasts a substantial rise in health care costs next year, marking the largest increase in over two decades. The study predicts an 8.2% hike in 2027 from the current expenses associated with employer-sponsored health insurance.
Conducted by the consulting firm Marsh, the survey gathered insights from over 1,800 employers on their cost expectations for the upcoming year. The responses highlighted several factors contributing to the sharp rise in health insurance costs. This anticipated increase surpasses any annual growth seen since 2003.
