Buffet Infinity

This year has been notable for innovative, low-budget horror films such as “Obsession” and “Backrooms.” Joining these is Simon Glassman’s “Buffet Infinity,” a film crafted from snippets of local TV commercials and news segments. Gradually, these excerpts develop into a narrative about an all-you-can-eat restaurant that begins to dominate a city in Alberta. Additionally, a tale unfolds about a religious cult opposing the restaurant. Initially reminiscent of late-night TV sketch comedy, “Buffet Infinity” becomes darker and more surreal as its fragmented stories converge.
