Trump Addresses China’s Spying Following Iran Missile Strike

President Donald Trump commented on Sunday about the mutual espionage activities between the United States and China. His remarks came after reports surfaced that Chinese entities had supplied Iran with satellite imagery prior to a missile attack that resulted in the deaths of three U.S. troops.

While speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump was questioned regarding a Wall Street Journal report. This report suggested that Chinese entities provided Iran with detailed satellite images of Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. These images were reportedly sent before Iran’s missile strike on July 17.

“They basically do what we do,” Trump stated. “China spies on us, and we spy on them too,” he added.

When asked if he would address this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his U.S. visit, Trump said Xi has “behaved reasonably well” and that both nations maintain a similar level of behavior.

The Wall Street Journal’s report indicated that U.S. officials have traced the satellite imagery used by Iran to the deadly attack. This finding is said to be the most definitive evidence so far of Chinese support for Iran having fatal impacts on American forces.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to meet Trump in Washington on September 24.

Officials did not specifically identify the involved Chinese entities or accuse the Chinese government of direct involvement in the missile strike. No immediate comments from the White House were available when Fox News Digital reached out.
