“The View” Co-Host Ana Navarro Refuses Trump Dinner Invitation

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro firmly declared her unwillingness to meet with former President Donald Trump. During a segment on the ABC talk show, co-hosts discussed Trump’s recent dinner with comedian Bill Maher, sports commentator Stephen A. Smith, and musician Kid Rock at the White House.

While co-hosts Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed a willingness to attend such a dinner, Navarro was adamant in her refusal. “I have no interest in being in the same room with a man whose administration targets Latinos,” Navarro stated.

“There is no way in hell, no way in hell I would want to break bread or be in the same room with a man whose administration is hunting Latinos,” Navarro said.

According to Navarro, meeting Trump would not influence his administration’s policies. She cited significant losses in Latino support and criticized the administration’s actions as harmful.

Haines noted Navarro’s discussions with other Republicans, such as Sen. Thom Tillis, to which Navarro emphasized other strategies to challenge political figures. “Accountability will come from voters in the midterms,” Navarro asserted.

Supporting Navarro’s stance, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg shared similar views. Hostin called Trump “the criminal-in-chief” and criticized his treatment of various communities. Goldberg commented on his history of racial profiling, stating, “I cannot, in good conscience, try to reason with someone who has decided that I’m barely human.”

Despite differing views on meeting Trump, Joy Behar expressed interest in having him appear on “The View” to engage in discussions. In a related interview, Kid Rock reflected positively on his dinner with Trump and the guests, noting the constructive conversations across political differences.
