Carville acknowledged the observation, saying, “I really agree with Kay. Anecdotal evidence, when it piles up, can’t be ignored.” He shared his experience in south Mississippi, contrasting past encounters with Trump supporters to the current quieter atmosphere. “I never hear that anymore! I never see that!” Carville said.
He pointed out that fewer visible signs of support, like Trump merchandise stands or flag displays, might suggest a cultural shift. He agreed with the listener that this might influence voter turnout, saying, “Are they going to really run up the margin in rural Texas as they’ve done previously? No, I don’t think so.”
Carville also criticized those still supporting Trump beyond 2024, labeling them “world-class buffoons.” He expressed disbelief that people continue to back Trump, saying, “Everything that he told you he cared about and was going to do, he’s done none of it.”
