Hayden Panettiere’s Enduring Impact
Hayden Panettiere’s former co-star, Beth Chamberlin, shared her thoughts on the late actress’s ability to navigate troubled times and emerge as a stronger performer. Chamberlin, who played Panettiere’s on-screen mother in the 1990s show Guiding Light, spoke about her special bond with the actress in an interview with Fox News Digital.
Chamberlin noted, “When I would hear about some of the troubled times that she was going through, I would think to myself, ‘She’s gonna get through this, and watch out world.’” She expressed confidence that Panettiere’s future work would be remarkable.
Questions Surrounding Her Death
Panettiere was found dead at 36 inside a Greenville, South Carolina residence on August 16. Her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach, called 911 after finding her unresponsive.
Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, raised concerns about Hickerson’s involvement in her daughter’s life, describing him as a “toxic individual.” She stated, “Although my daughter and I were estranged, it was not for lack of care or love.”
No Evidence of Trauma
Preliminary autopsy results showed no signs of trauma, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The investigation into Panettiere’s death continues with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Remembering Her Talent
Chamberlin fondly remembers Panettiere as a talented young actress. “She truly was just an amazing, amazing child actor,” she said. Chamberlin emphasized the difficulty of acting on soap operas, highlighting Panettiere’s ability to deliver performances with precision.
Panettiere started in show business at a young age, appearing in commercials before landing a role on One Life to Live as a child. Her breakout role came with Heroes as Claire Bennet. Later, she starred in Nashville as Juliette Barnes.
Acting Career Concerns
Chamberlin frequently advises against putting children in show business but believed Panettiere was an exception. “She was the most talented child actor that ever walked on a set,” Chamberlin said, recalling Panettiere’s exceptional abilities.
Chamberlin hopes that Panettiere will be remembered for her extraordinary talent and contributions to the entertainment industry.
