Haley Furst’s Journey from Transgender Atheism to Christian Faith

Haley Furst once identified as a transgender man, supported atheism, and embraced communism. After years of holding these beliefs, she has since returned to her faith in Jesus Christ.

Furst shared her radical shift in perspective, explaining her past of supporting extreme left-wing ideologies, including abortion policies.

“I believed in anarchal communism. I was an atheist for a moment of my life,” Furst stated. “Now I believe in biblical values and everything that entails.”

Growing up in Alberta, Canada, Furst experienced a shift in cultural norms. She was raised in a Christian environment and attended a private Christian school before transitioning into a public high school. This transition came with its own challenges as topics like gender and sexual liberation became frequent subjects of discussion.

She discussed her time as a transgender man, revealing she took male hormones and underwent a hysterectomy. Her faith was reignited when a colleague shared a passage from Romans, leading her to see her worldview in a new light.

“I had gone home and continued to wrestle with that…I highly doubted that Jesus would still want me, but I prayed anyway,” she confessed.

Furst’s perspective on adults discussing sexual identity with minors has changed. She criticizes adults engaging in these discussions with young people, suggesting they can manipulate and confuse children’s identities.

Now, as a Christian woman, Furst warns parents about potential influencing factors on their children.

“There is so much talk with children about sexual identity. I don’t think it is age-appropriate for a 13-year-old,” she said.

Furst advocates for these sensitive conversations to remain within the family, allowing parents to decide when and how they should occur.
