By early Sunday morning, the account associated with Zabad issued an apology, acknowledging that the original post was disrespectful and not compassionate. The apology read, ‘I want to sincerely apologize for the post regarding the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham. My words were inappropriate and disrespectful and failed to show compassion during time of loss and grief. I regretted the post and the words I used.’
Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died at the age of 71, was known for being a prominent political figure. An autopsy suggested his passing was due to aortic dissection linked to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. His death took many by surprise, as he was an active member of the Senate and scheduled for an appearance on ‘Meet the Press’ just days later.
St. Bonaventure University responded to the incident in a statement provided to Fox News Digital, expressing that the post did not align with the university’s values. They are addressing the situation with Dr. Zabad to ensure adherence to their Franciscan values.
