In a Facebook post, Rodríguez highlighted the invaluable assistance during these trying times and expressed gratitude for the U.S. government’s solidarity.

Trump had earlier expressed his commitment to aiding Venezuela, affirming the U.S.’s readiness to provide help through a Truth Social post.

Trump’s Assurance of U.S. Aid

In a public statement, President Trump described the earthquakes as large-scale disasters with significant loss of life. He reaffirmed America’s willingness to assist and stated that government agencies were ready to mobilize swiftly to support Venezuela, a nation he referred to as ‘our new and great friends.’

Death Toll and Injury Figures

Rodríguez, speaking on state television, reported a death toll of at least 32 individuals and more than 700 injuries. These numbers did not include potential casualties from La Guaira, a state she referred to as being severely impacted and classified as a ‘disaster zone.’
