Stephen A. Smith Stands Firm in Feud with Donald Trump

Stephen A. Smith is standing his ground in a strong exchange with former President Donald Trump. Recently, OutKick questioned Smith about his opinions on Trump, which led to a fiery reaction from the former president. Trump responded by calling Smith a ‘low IQ individual’ and ‘dumb as a rock.’

Maintaining his position, Smith joined Sean Hannity on Fox News to address the situation publicly. During the appearance, Smith asserted he was unfazed by Trump’s remarks. ‘I take no offense with the president coming after me,’ he stated. ‘People go after him every day. I certainly went after him. He has every right to come back and clap back at me. I’m a big boy. I can take it. He ain’t phasing me one bit.’

Smith’s comments followed his criticism of the logistical chaos surrounding Trump’s visit to Madison Square Garden during the NBA Finals. The visit led to road closures and police efforts to clear outdoor watch parties. Smith argued that the disruption impacted the Knicks’ performance and disrupted the team’s progress during a critical game.

Smith emphasized, ‘This man was raised in Queens, New York, a lifelong Knicks fan. When you’re a true sports fan, you know every little thing could disrupt the momentum.’

The Knicks, who have not secured a championship in over fifty years, experienced disruptions in their playoff events. Smith attributed those disruptions to Trump, saying the former president’s presence forced the city to cancel watch parties and negatively affected team morale.

His comments followed a contentious playoff game where the Knicks suffered a tough loss. Critics of Smith’s stance point out that the team’s on-court performance was the actual cause of their defeat.

Stephen A. Smith remains adamant in his views as this media saga unfolds.
