President Trump to Undergo Medical Check-Up at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump plans to visit Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a check-up that includes medical and dental examinations, according to a White House official.

This marks the president’s third in-person doctor’s visit in just over a year. Trump previously visited Walter Reed twice in 2025, once in April and again in October. Additionally, he has seen his dentist in West Palm Beach twice this year, both in January and earlier this month.

President Trump, who will reach the age of 80 next month, often emphasizes his excellent health despite ongoing rumors. He has highlighted his vitality as a key aspect of his re-election campaign, contrasting it with his opponent, whom he labels ‘Sleepy Joe Biden.’ Speculation continues surrounding moments of apparent drowsiness and visible bruises on his hand, which the White House attributes to handshakes and aspirin usage as a blood thinner.

Last year, it was disclosed that President Trump had chronic venous insufficiency following examinations for mild leg swelling. In a Wall Street Journal interview published in January, Trump expressed the benefits of aspirin for his blood, stating he wants to avoid ‘thick blood pouring through [his] heart.’

Initially described by the White House as a scheduled follow-up, Trump’s October 2025 visit included an MRI which was later clarified as a CT scan of his heart and abdomen. Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president’s physician, explained the decision, stating, ‘President Trump agreed to meet with staff and soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Hospital in October. To ensure optimal health, we recommended another routine physical evaluation.’ The physician noted, ‘Advanced imaging — either MRI or CT Scan — was requested to rule out cardiovascular issues definitively. The CT Scan showed normal results with no abnormalities.’

Following an earlier April 2025 visit, Barbabella mentioned that President Trump’s health remains excellent, with robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical functions. He added, ‘President Trump’s schedule includes multiple meetings, public appearances, press interactions, and regular golf victories.’
