President Donald Trump plans to make a significant announcement to the nation from the Oval Office at 2 p.m. ET on Monday. This event is open to the White House press pool, according to the president’s schedule.
On Sunday, when asked by a reporter about the ‘big announcement,’ Trump hinted it might involve a meeting scheduled for Tuesday with Dario Amodei, co-founder of the AI company Anthropic. Trump remarked, ‘We’re meeting with Anthropic as you know on Tuesday, that’s going to be significant. We have a few unrelated matters tonight. I’m having dinner with the head of Anthropic and these are busy days, but I’m managing. Yes, I’m dining with Dario, as you know, he is highly respected from Anthropic.’
