The NFL and Roc Nation have not yet announced next year’s Super Bowl halftime performer. However, predictions on major platforms suggest that fans have strong opinions. As of Tuesday, prediction markets Kalshi and Polymarket favor Jay-Z as the frontrunner to headline Super Bowl LXI in February 2027. He holds a significant advantage over other candidates.
Jay-Z, the founder of Roc Nation, has been instrumental in selecting and co-producing the Super Bowl halftime show since 2020. On Kalshi, he is seen as having around a 91% chance of being the main performer. Polymarket’s odds are even more favorable to Jay-Z.
Other performers such as Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Dua Lipa have a presence in user predictions but stand far behind Jay-Z.
Users’ predictions may be influenced by a report from Puck that stated Jay-Z has chosen himself for the role. This report sourced multiple unnamed individuals. Despite his longstanding success as a recording artist, Jay-Z has not headlined a Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The NFL typically announces performers months in advance, usually in September. Previous announcements include Bad Bunny for Super Bowl LX in September 2025 and Kendrick Lamar for Super Bowl LIX in September 2024.
Insiders confirm that Jay-Z is responsible for the final selection. “It’s a decision that Jay makes,” said Jesse Collins, co-producer of the event, during an interview with Variety in 2014. According to Collins, Jay-Z has consistently made successful decisions each year.
