Pentagon Memorial Lacks Visitor Center and Museum

The Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, remains unique among the three major 9/11 sites. It is the only one without a dedicated museum or visitor center. This situation persists due to long-standing delays in construction and planning.

A project for a visitor education center at the Pentagon Memorial has been in progress for over ten years. This initiative was first announced in 2015, with the original plan to complete it by 2019.

Such a center is expected to provide educational resources and insights into the tragic events of September 11, 2001. However, thus far, it remains incomplete, leaving visitors without a formal facility to deepen their understanding of the site and its significance.
