Johnny ‘Joey’ Jones Reenlists in Marine Corps at Pentagon Ceremony

Fox News host Johnny “Joey” Jones has reenlisted in the United States Marine Corps. The ceremony took place at the Pentagon on Wednesday.

“The last job I had in uniform was about healing. My duty was to recover. The Marine Corps supported me in this, but there was unfinished business,” Jones said during the event. He previously served for eight years, with deployments that led to serious injuries, including the loss of both legs due to an IED incident in Afghanistan in 2010.

At the reenlistment ceremony, Jones expressed his willingness to serve once more. “If there’s an opportunity to serve, there’s no reason a 40-year-old staff sergeant with no legs should be stopped, especially if others believe. The goal is to encourage those with more to give,” he stated to fellow military personnel.

The event was attended by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who officiated the swearing-in. “Joey is an ideal spokesperson for the Marine Corps, embodying what it means to serve and the brotherhood it creates. His dedication is visible in his work and appearances, showing his commitment to the Corps,” Hegseth remarked. He described Jones’ decision to reenlist as “an absolute no-brainer.”

Jones will continue his role as a co-host on “The Big Weekend Show” while he also provides military analysis across FOX News Media. His work extends beyond television; he authored two New York Times bestsellers, “Unbroken Bonds of Battle” and “Behind the Badge: Answering the Call to Serve on America’s Homefront,” focusing on the service of military and first responders.

Jones remains active in addressing challenges faced by service members, having established a fellowship on Capitol Hill with the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
