Podcaster Joe Rogan recently criticized President Trump over two significant issues: the handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s files and the ongoing conflict in Iran. Rogan was previously a supporter of Trump in the 2024 election. He voiced his discontent during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with guest Cameron Hanes.
Rogan expressed frustration over Trump’s failure to release all details related to Epstein, a convicted sex offender. He accused Trump of not meeting expectations for transparency. “We’re all pissed,” Rogan said, emphasizing the unfulfilled promise to reveal everything post-election, claiming it would “drain the swamp.”
Hanes, from Oregon, acknowledged that Trump did undertake some efforts to clean up government during his first term, holding out hope for Trump’s re-election. “I don’t even know what this is,” Hanes mentioned, implying confusion over current events.
Rogan has also been vocal about his dissatisfaction with how the Trump administration has handled the Iran war. During the episode, he criticized America’s military actions in Iran. “…if we didn’t bomb Iran,” Rogan remarked, highlighting his issues with America’s approach towards the Middle Eastern country.
There is now a tentative agreement between the U.S. and Iran to end hostilities, involving negotiations on nuclear activities and potential sanction relief. Details were provided by Pakistani officials and reported by the Associated Press. An agreement signing is expected soon.
Rogan’s critique wasn’t limited to Trump’s handling of documents and conflicts. He also mentioned the lack of public support for the Iran war, noting it is largely unwanted by voters in the U.S. “Most people in the country don’t want it,” Rogan said, stating that financial motives are behind continued military involvement.
Additionally, Rogan expressed concerns about how the Iran conflict leaves the U.S. exposed to sudden crises. Comparing the situation to past involvements, he mentioned fears of repeating mistakes made in Afghanistan, which resulted in a lengthy and painful military engagement.
Rogan’s insights follow a report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The think tank found U.S. weapons stockpiles have been depleted by the Iran conflict and would need years to recover. Rogan has also warned about the possibility of a military draft following proposals for universal national service by a notable tech company.
