On Tuesday night, a drive-by shooting in the Little Village neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side left three men injured, according to police. The incident occurred shortly before 8:45 p.m. as the men stood outside near the 2400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue.
Authorities detailed that a vehicle approached the group, and a person inside began shooting before the car sped away. As a result, a 27-year-old man sustained a head injury and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Similarly, a 21-year-old man also endured a head wound and is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital. Meanwhile, the third victim, a 22-year-old man, received a leg injury and is in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Police are actively investigating the shooting, seeking to gather more facts about the incident and identify the assailant.
