When I inquired about the exact temperature, he reported 39 degrees Celsius. Curious about the Fahrenheit equivalent, he humorously responded with ‘Hot!’ Upon checking, it equates to 102 degrees Fahrenheit, with a forecast of reaching 106 in the coming week.
Reflecting on the 1990s, I spent my summers in Cairo during my elementary school years. Back then, air conditioning was not as widespread as it is today. The heat was strong, but manageable. However, with the current trends of extreme weather, I question how Egyptians are enduring these conditions.
