Nearly a year after concluding her “Brat Tour,” Charli XCX is returning with her latest tour named “Music, Fashion, Film.” This summer, the 33-year-old artist will tour alongside rising hyperpop star Underscores. The two-month tour supports Charli’s seventh album, which will be released on July 24.
The tour begins on September 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and concludes on October 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Charli XCX will perform 12 shows, with venues like Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum hosting two shows each. The tour includes stops in cities such as Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Diego, and Glendale. Toronto will be the sole Canadian city included in the North American tour.
On Instagram, Charli announced, “Soooo excited to announce the Music, Fashion, Film Tour! Sign up for presale access now through June 10th at 11 PM ET at charlixcx.com/tour. Can’t wait to party together again, it’s gonna be cute xx.” She also promised UK tour dates in a separate Instagram Story.
While many fans welcomed the tour announcement, some expressed disappointment over the limited number of dates and omission of several locations, including the Midwest. One fan commented, “Why call it a North American tour if only 1 date is outside of the US?” Another added, “Why do they even call it a North American tour? Just call it a USA tour at this point with only one Canada date.”
Not all responses were critical. A fan praised the vintage newsprint aesthetic, remarking, “Calling it the ‘Music, Fashion, Film Tour’… oh she is about to deliver a visual masterpiece!” Another fan noted, “Music, fashion, film sounds like a rejection of traditional touring and more like an immersive experience concept rather than concerts.”
