The Federal Bureau of Prisons adjusted Diddy’s release date following an incident at FCI Fort Dix. Reports indicate that a fellow inmate made a remark to Combs, instigating a confrontation. Diddy was reportedly placed in solitary confinement as a result. The specific reasons for the delay in his release remain unclear.
A Federal Bureau of Prisons representative stated, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate.” This includes housing assignments and whether an inmate is subject to allegations or sanctions.

In September 2024, Diddy was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges. This followed allegations of sexual misconduct and the release of surveillance footage showing him involved in a violent incident with then-girlfriend Cassie. In October 2025, he was sentenced to more than four years in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Diddy initially faced a potential life sentence on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking by force. However, the jury acquitted him of the most serious charges, while convicting him on lesser ones.
