Cassie Ventura, a singer who testified as a key witness in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial last summer, has left the United States, according to records obtained by Fox News Digital. Cassie’s testimony lasted four days during Diddy’s sex crimes trial.
Recently, Cassie submitted a motion to transfer her ongoing legal battle with former male escort Clayton Howard to a different jurisdiction. Howard’s lawsuit accuses Diddy and others of sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse over a decade.
In the motion, Cassie suggests moving the case from California courts to a New York court. She points out that many similar cases involving Diddy are already in process there. Several of these cases share the same legal and factual background.
“Plaintiff resides in New Jersey and can travel to New York City conveniently,” the documents note. “Ms. Ventura lives outside the United States and finds it easier to travel to New York rather than California. The corporate defendants also have their incorporation in New York.”
Cassie’s testimony highlighted numerous abuses she allegedly faced, including an incident in 2018 when she claimed Diddy raped her after she tried to end their relationship permanently. The trial included her testimony that detailed various instances of physical and psychological abuse.
In her testimony, Cassie mentioned receiving a $20 million settlement after filing a sexual abuse lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023. This lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed.
During the trial conducted from May 12 to July 2, the jury found Diddy not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking but convicted him of transporting individuals for prostitution. Diddy is serving his sentence of over four years at FCI Fort Dix, with a release expected in February 2028. He was arrested on September 16, 2024.
Cassie, now residing outside the United States, married Alex Fine, Diddy’s former personal trainer, in 2019. They have three children together. Recently, she gave birth to their third child following her critical testimony in the trial.
Further legal actions are in process, including a planned $10 million settlement related to an incident in a hotel hallway in 2016, where Cassie accused Diddy of assault.
Despite the conclusion of the trial, legal ramifications and discussions surrounding the case continue to unfold in New York courts.
