Tragic Incident Near March Air Reserve Base

An employee of the American Forces Network died on Tuesday after a vehicle collision near a military site in California. This individual was driving to work at the March Air Reserve Base, located 60 miles east of Los Angeles, at 8 a.m. when the incident occurred, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department as reported by NBC LA.

Following the collision, both drivers involved were transported to a hospital. Investigators later discovered that the deceased had injuries matching a gunshot wound, prompting the Moreno Valley Investigation Bureau to take over the case. Currently, no additional details have been disclosed as the investigation is still underway.

Authorities initially responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The California Highway Patrol noted that both drivers were in critical condition. There is no information yet on what led to the shooting.
