New York Giants’ quarterback Jaxson Dart took the stage in Suffern, New York, to introduce former President Donald Trump before his speech, sparking a reaction from teammate Abdul Carter. During the event, Dart initiated a chant with the crowd, shouting “Go Big Blue,” while setting the scene for Trump’s appearance.
“Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here. I got to start this off with a ‘Go Big Blue,’” Dart exclaimed, leading the fans in the chant briefly before formally introducing Trump. “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here, and without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States America, President Donald J. Trump.” Following these remarks, Dart and Trump shook hands on stage.
“Thought this s—t was AI, what we doing man,” Carter posted to X, expressing his frustration at Dart’s introduction of Trump.
Both Dart and Carter were first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dart, out of Ole Miss, was selected with the 25th overall pick after the Giants traded up for him. Carter, a standout from Penn State, was chosen with the 3rd overall pick. Both players are key figures in the Giants’ plans, having displayed promising performances in their rookie seasons. Dart played 14 games, with 12 starts, achieving a record of 4-8. He completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards, alongside 15 touchdowns and five interceptions. Dart also proved versatile as a runner, with 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns from 86 attempts.
Carter contributed to all 17 games, amassing 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and four sacks, performing strongly towards the season’s end. Despite his contributions, Carter encountered disciplinary actions due to attendance issues, leading to his benching for some game segments.
