Brandi Glanville, known for her role in reality television, is gearing up for a significant medical procedure amid her ongoing health challenges. In a recent episode of her podcast, ‘Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,’ she revealed her plan for an upcoming ‘exploratory surgery.’ Scheduled for October 22, this surgery aims to address a persistent issue that has plagued her for four years.
Facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Carlo Honrado will perform the procedure, which is described as more intensive than a typical facelift. Glanville expressed mixed emotions, stating her excitement and fear as she faces facial surgery for the first time. She mentioned her confidence in Dr. Honrado, who comes highly recommended, and the $5,000 cost as worthwhile if the problem can be resolved.
Glanville’s health complications began with facial paralysis, initially diagnosed as stress-induced angioedema. Following a trip to Morocco in 2023, she suspected a parasite might have contributed to her health issues. Her condition has evolved, affecting areas from her cheek and jawbone to her neck and spine.
Recent diagnoses include ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Valley fever, Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. Her treatment includes expensive daily IV sessions, costing an estimated $3,300 to $6,000 monthly.
Financial struggles have compounded Glanville’s health battle. Despite having insurance, she faced substantial medical bills, leading her to empty her 401(k) and spend savings meant for later years. She described the situation as chaotic, expressing anger over the broken medical system and creditors’ constant calls.
Glanville’s decision to participate in ‘Special Forces’ reflects her need for financial stability and a personal challenge, seeking to prove her strength amidst adversity. She voiced her determination to reclaim her health and life, sharing the sentiment, ‘I want my health back. I want my life back.’
