Rep. Jared Huffman, representing California, has introduced a book discussing the increasing influence of secularism in America. Huffman, a noted Humanist, labels Christian nationalism as a significant threat within the country’s political landscape.
Back in 2017, when Huffman openly declared himself a ‘nonbeliever,’ he became only the second contemporary member of Congress to take such a stance. This was despite the fact that around 25% of Americans identified as nonreligious at that time.
