Trump Accuses Vandals of Damaging National Mall Grass

President Donald Trump has claimed that vandals are responsible for damaging the grass on the National Mall. This area, situated between the Washington Monument and World War II Memorial, served as the site for a large stage during a Fourth of July event where Trump spoke to the public. The accusation was made on Truth Social on Sunday.

Damage also appeared on the White House Ellipse and South Lawn following the UFC Freedom 250 events held earlier in the summer. These observations highlight concerns about maintaining the National Mall’s condition during public gatherings.

The grass on the National Mall was photographed on August 7 by Allison Robbert of the Associated Press, capturing the extent of the damage.
