College Offers and Recruiting
Chadick received his first Division I offer from Iowa in late spring, starting a surge in recruiting interest. Offers now include Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, North Dakota State, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, and Vanderbilt. Chadick plans to visit Kentucky this Saturday and has arranged a trip to national champion Indiana. ‘It’s exciting to have various options,’ Chadick shared. Although he hasn’t set a timeline for choosing a college, he expressed confidence in knowing when he finds the right fit.
Chadick’s Playing Strategy
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 230 pounds, Chadick has recorded 37 tackles and two pass breakups with the Corsairs this season. ‘Continuous improvement is key,’ Chadick commented, focusing on refining his tackling technique. McKie, familiar with Chadick since middle school, praised his work ethic, integral in attracting college attention.
Teammate Observations
Playing alongside Chadick, Carmel junior Noah Breckenridge acknowledges Chadick’s impactful presence, particularly observed during film review. Breckenridge remarked on Chadick’s ability to tackle opponents even from a distance, emphasizing his role in run defense. ‘He’s someone who can deliver when needed,’ Breckenridge stated.
Strength Enhancement and Leadership
Chadick’s increased commitment to the weight room has led to a strength boost, adding 30 pounds since his freshman year. ‘I notice my improved strength this season,’ Chadick remarked, simplifying his effort in overcoming blocks on the field. Assuming more responsibility as a seasoned player, Chadick embraces accountability. ‘Pressure exists, but playing is essential, and my focus remains on executing my duties,’ he concluded.
