He emphasized that while he didn’t say ‘the Knicks got lucky,’ he did acknowledge that ‘luck was involved’ in their win. O’Neal pointed out specific instances indicating luck’s role, such as if OG Anunoby missed a crucial tip-in or if De’Aaron Fox opted to stop a key play. He highlighted that everyone, even great teams, need some luck to win.
Shaq further addressed Knicks fans, saying, ‘You wanna impress me? Run it back.’ This comment demanded consistency from the team in future seasons.
I started off by saying two of my championships were lucky,Shaq noted, recalling his own experiences during his illustrious career.
Shaquille O’Neal, a four-time NBA champion, initially found significant success with the Los Angeles Lakers. His achievements included a three-peat run with Kobe Bryant in 2000, 2001, and 2002. During the 2000 championship series, the Lakers faced Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers.
