Rain Interrupts DC Open Finals

On Sunday, weather played a significant role in the DC Open finals. Rain hindered the progress of the matches, with precipitation surpassing gameplay.

Jessica Pegula and Alexandra Eala were slated to compete in the women’s final. In the men’s bracket, Taylor Fritz was set to face off against Rafael Jódar. Despite anticipation, only one women’s set was completed before the rain halted proceedings. The men’s match did not commence at all.

The tournament organizers have rescheduled the singles finals to restart at noon on Monday, aiming to conclude the event.
