Eyewitness Accounts
Lane Koehn, a witness, observed an individual with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. Another man armed with a pistol confronted the shooter. Koehn also saw an In-N-Out employee, visibly injured, being dragged across the parking lot. Together, Koehn and others stayed with her until paramedics arrived.
Koehn, who was nearby during the shooting, recounted seeing three or four shots fired, but was uncertain if specific individuals were targeted. A video from another witness showed a man in black clothing approaching a white car, handling a long rifle, and opening the car’s trunk.
Reactions and Responses
Twin Falls resident Haley Dodaro, present for lunch with her mother, described seeing people fleeing the scene, initially suspecting a fire until told otherwise by a man directing traffic. Dodaro elaborated that the atmosphere was filled with panic, as many ran out crying and screaming.
Nayeli Rodriguez, along with her daughters inside the restaurant, heard gunfire from the kitchen. An employee informed them of the shooting, prompting them to duck for cover. They eventually escaped with the assistance of others.
The In-N-Out restaurant where the shooting took place had recently opened as part of the company’s expansion in Idaho. Injured individuals were transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, where law enforcement and emergency responders are actively managing the situation.
