A wildfire that erupted in the Santa Clarita Valley has led to evacuation orders as it threatens homes in Stevenson Ranch. The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that the fire, known as the Max fire, ignited in the Pico Canyon Park area.
By Monday afternoon, the blaze had consumed over 40 acres. It burns between residential areas in the foothills community. Authorities have issued evacuation orders for residents near Sagrecrest Circle and Chicory Court.
The fire started around 4:20 p.m. in Pico Canyon Park, close to Magnolia Lane. Aerial footage captured helicopters performing water drops as ground crews worked to establish containment lines. The fire’s proximity to homes has raised concerns among residents and officials.
