Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have decided to sell their Los Angeles residence. This celebrity couple has put their Brentwood family home on the market for $10.5 million. They are working with listing agent Cindy Ambuehl of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California to find a buyer.

Constructed in 2006, the house spans 7,318 square feet and includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It features common spaces such as a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, dining room, and living room that offer a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience.

There is also a dedicated office and a bonus room, used as a playroom for their two children. Outside, the home offers attractive landscaping, a resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and multiple lounge areas.

The couple first met while filming “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997 and began dating in 2000. They announced their engagement in April 2001 and married in 2002. They recently celebrated 23 years of marriage.

Gellar shared insights into her marriage with People magazine, mentioning the practical secret to a successful marriage is having “one bedroom, two bathrooms.” She emphasized the importance of having an extra bathroom available.

The couple’s home comes with a spacious dining room, a cozy living area with a fireplace, and a television with access to the outdoor space. Additionally, the kitchen features an eat-in island and all-white cabinets, while a secondary sitting area includes a fireplace and piano.

In terms of her career, Gellar discussed stepping away from acting for nearly a decade after starring in “The Crazy Ones” with Robin Williams. She felt defined by her career and needed a break following his passing, focusing on her children during this hiatus.

She returned to acting in the 2022 Netflix film “Do Revenge” and continued with roles in “Wolf Pack,” “Dexter: Original Sin,” and “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.” Plans for a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot with Chloé Zhao were shelved in March 2026 due to disagreements with an executive who was not supportive of the original series.

The primary bedroom of their home includes a private balcony with backyard views, a fireplace, and a game room. The backyard is equipped with a large swimming pool and grassy area.
