USS Abraham Lincoln Crew Enjoys Break in Pattaya

In Pattaya, Thailand, 5,000 sailors and Marines from the USS Abraham Lincoln are enjoying their first break after a record-long deployment. This deployment included significant time supporting activities related to the Iran war. The service members are experiencing a change of pace as they swap military attire for casual shorts and flip-flops, embracing the leisure of a resort city.

Pattaya’s mayor, Poramet Ngampichet, extended a warm welcome by presenting souvenirs to the U.S. service members during a hotel reception. This effort reflects the city’s hospitality and gratitude for the service members’ dedication. The atmosphere in Pattaya on Wednesday night was marked by a sense of relief and camaraderie as the sailors and Marines disembarked for well-deserved leisure activities.
