During Braves games, a unique race takes place between innings. Known as The Freeze, this race involves a fan racing The Freeze along the outfield warning track. The fan always receives a noteworthy head start, but The Freeze nearly always claims victory.
The fan made an unwise decision to taunt The Freeze by blowing a kiss while starting his run down the left field foul line.
Initially, the fan didn’t seem to run at top speed. However, after noticing The Freeze was rapidly closing the gap, he picked up his pace. By then, it was too late.
In a turn of events, The Freeze overtook the fan and reciprocated the taunt with a kiss as he surged ahead. With the fan left behind, The Freeze eased his pace slightly, comfortably crossing the finish line along the right field line.
The Atlanta Braves themselves are working hard to maintain their lead in the National League East. They hold a 61-42 record, leading the Philadelphia Phillies by 5.5 games. Earlier this season, on May 22, the lead was a more imposing 10.5 games.
Recently, the Braves defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-6 on Friday. They aim to continue their winning ways in the second game of their three-game series, set for Saturday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
