Monica Hicks shared with local news outlet KHOU that she was driving home with her children from her mother’s house when the shooting occurred. Hicks recounted the terror of the incident, noting, “All my kids in the back seat were screaming, and they continued to shoot in my car. I did not know my daughter was hit until I pulled into my apartment.”
