Sol Ruca emerged victorious as the new women’s intercontinental champion during Clash in Italy. On Sunday, she defeated Becky Lynch in a thrilling rematch. This encounter followed a brief bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where controversy marked their previous meeting.
During that bout, Lynch pushed referee Jessica Carr into Ruca as she landed a Sol Snatcher, leading Carr to disqualify Lynch. This victory, however, did not satisfy ‘The Man.’ Lynch sought to move forward from Ruca, while Ruca was eager to justify her newfound prominence.
Rematch Sets the Stage
SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis scheduled a rematch with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at stake. Ruca rose to the occasion, showcasing her incredible skill.
Lynch tried to unsettle Ruca psychologically. Tactics included trash talk and pushing Carr into the ropes to unbalance Ruca, even attempting the Sol Snatcher move herself. None of these tactics succeeded in hindering Ruca’s performance.
