Sen. Coons, a Delaware Democrat, was a passenger in one of the affected cars. He was taken to Beebe Hospital for treatment. In his posts on X, he expressed gratitude toward first responders and medical staff for their swift assistance. Coons was relieved that nobody faced severe injuries in the accident.
“Earlier today, a Delaware driver experienced a medical incident and collided with several cars, including one in which I was a passenger,” Coons wrote on X. “I was transported to Beebe Hospital and treated for minor injuries. I’m now home and expected to make a full and swift recovery.”
He praised the prompt and professional response of the first responders and medical personnel at Beebe Hospital. Coons stated, “I’m feeling relieved and blessed that by all accounts no one was seriously injured during the crash.”
