Scottie Scheffler’s Financial Success
Scottie Scheffler has climbed to the top of the PGA Tour’s career earnings list, amassing over $130 million. Scheffler, now 30 years old, has surpassed Tiger Woods, earning $10 million more during his career.
Beyond the Money
Despite his financial achievements, Scheffler’s focus isn’t solely on money. According to his caddie, Ted Scott, Scheffler prioritizes playing against the best golfers in the world.
“When I first started working for him, he was 19th in the world, and he had a white golf bag,” Scott said, referring to Scheffler. “I didn’t know him that well, and I asked him, I was like: ‘Why don’t you have sponsors?’ He’s like, ‘Well, because I just want to play with the equipment that I want to play.'”
Scott shared about the time Scheffler became the No. 1 player globally in March 2022. This achievement occurred amid ongoing efforts by LIV Golf to entice players away from the PGA Tour.
A Unique Approach
Scott began working with Scheffler in November 2021, during the initial stages of their partnership. Scott recounted a conversation about the potential LIV Golf offer. He said, “They’re probably going to offer you like $250 million to go over there.” Scheffler responded, “I don’t care what they offer me. They can offer me a billion dollars. I’m going to play where the best players are because I just want to beat people.”
This mindset distinguished Scheffler’s approach to the sport. Scott realized how differently Scheffler approached his career.
Success on the Course
Scott has contributed to Scheffler’s impressive record on the PGA Tour. Since February 2022, Scott has been part of each of Scheffler’s 22 PGA Tour victories and four major championships.
In 2026 alone, Scheffler earned nearly $31 million on the PGA Tour. With caddies earning around 10% of a player’s earnings, Scott likely exceeded $3 million in earnings for the year.
