Rod Stewart Postpones Concerts Due to Vocal Issues, Reschedules for 2027

Rod Stewart has postponed several concerts to comply with his doctor’s recommendations. He has been advised to rest his voice to address ongoing vocal issues.

The performances originally set for June 15 and 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, are now scheduled for September 2 and 3, 2027. The venue shared this update on their social media platforms.

“Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed vocal rest for Rod Stewart,” the post states. “Evaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds, making it impossible for him to safely perform without the risk of further injury and potential long-term damage to his voice.”

Rod Stewart expressed regret for the postponements, feeling deeply disappointed and apologetic to his fans for the inconvenience. He anticipates returning to the stage once he receives medical clearance.

Some fans voiced frustration over the short notice of the postponement, with one commenting on social media that announcing it an hour before showtime was “unacceptable,” highlighting that event staff had been prepared hours earlier.

This incident follows a previous cancellation. Stewart called off a performance in San Diego on April 12 due to an acute upper respiratory infection causing laryngitis.

Looking ahead, Stewart’s next concert is slated for June 19 in West Valley City, Utah. This show continues as planned, though attendees are advised to monitor for updates in case of any changes. There is hope that his voice will be fully recovered, allowing him to perform as scheduled.
