President Trump, known for frequent public scrutiny regarding his health, will reach 80 years of age on June 14. Currently, he is the oldest individual inaugurated as president. On Tuesday, he is slated to visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a physical check-up.
Recently, there have been observations of swelling in Trump’s legs. His doctors and aides have attributed this to chronic venous insufficiency. This condition arises when veins struggle to transport blood back to the heart.
The president has also been seen with bruises on his hands. White House officials stated these result from handshakes, leading him to cover them with makeup. Additionally, a red rash has appeared on his neck. Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, mentioned a cream used for preventive treatment. However, Dr. Barbabella has not revealed the nature of the skin condition or the medication prescribed.
For over ten years, Trump and his team have shared brief and often positive statements about his health, although they remain vague about specific fitness and health issues.
