A pet goose sounded the alarm with multiple honks early in the morning on August 3, alerting his owners to a fire at their barn in Richmond, Texas. The situation unfolded when Goosey, the family’s pet goose, rushed out of the barn and began honking loudly.
Bert Gerber, the owner of the goose, was startled awake by the unusual sound. Noting its unfamiliarity, he quickly got up, put on his flip-flops, and stepped outside. There, he discovered the family’s barn engulfed in flames. Inside were approximately 60 turkeys and chickens.
