Naomi Osaka’s Bold Fashion Choices on the Tennis Court

Naomi Osaka consistently makes a statement with her tennis court entrances. Known for her distinctive style, she often chooses nontraditional outfits when stepping onto the court during major tournaments.

During the French Open, Osaka continued this trend. On May 26, 2026, she walked onto Court Suzanne-Lenglen holding the hand of a mascot as she prepared for her match against Germany’s Laura Siegemund.

For her first-round appearance, Osaka chose an all-black corset paired with a matching skirt. The striking ensemble resembled something more suited for a celebrity at a red carpet event than a tennis match at Roland-Garros.

Osaka maintained the dramatic look until the warm-up session began. Then she revealed an eye-catching Nike outfit. Beneath the black attire, she wore an all-gold, reflective ensemble that stood out even against Siegemund’s bright green clothing.

Earlier in the year, at the Australian Open, Osaka showcased another unique style. Her outfit included long pants, a white hat obscuring her face, and an umbrella over her shoulder. This choice of clothing was inspired by her daughter’s interest in a jellyfish, and Osaka aimed to replicate that look.

Despite the unusual attire, Osaka’s performance at the French Open was unaffected. She defeated Siegemund in straight sets, cementing her reputation for both her fashion sense and tennis skills. Currently seeded 16th, Osaka has yet to progress beyond the third round in previous French Open appearances.

Naomi Osaka merges her personal style with her professional career, continually garnering attention both for her talent and fashion choices.
