Marcellus Wiley, known for his career as an NFL Pro Bowler and sports broadcaster, was detained on charges of domestic battery. The arrest occurred on Saturday, with records from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirming his custody without bond. Additional details surrounding Wiley’s arrest have yet to be disclosed.
The arrest arose following allegations cited in a Rolling Stone article concerning sexual assault accusations by four women in April 2026. Wiley, who is 51, has faced multiple accusations over the years.
Three women previously sued Wiley for alleged rape during his time at Columbia, where he played college football. Wiley vehemently denied these claims on his podcast “More To It with Marcellus Wiley,” asserting he possessed evidence to counter what he referred to as “alleged misrepresentations.” During his podcast, he dismissed the allegations as “B.S.”
Annemarie Wiley, Wiley’s wife, is familiar to viewers for her role in “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The Rolling Stone report detailed incidents involving two women claiming Wiley’s sexual assaults, spanning 1995 to 1999.
One woman alleged that Wiley groomed her from the age of 13 while his career with the Buffalo Bills unfolded. She accused Wiley of raping her on her 18th birthday after he called her ‘little momma’ and flew her to Dallas during his time playing for the Cowboys.
Further allegations involved Wiley’s activities while working as a broadcaster for ESPN and FOX Sports. A former production assistant recollected Wiley coercing her into a hotel room under the guise of a work meeting in 2009, where she alleged a sexual assault took place.
Wiley’s NFL achievements include being picked 52nd overall in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He later gained his first Pro Bowl recognition in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers, where he played for three years. His professional journey included stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars until his retirement in 2006.
