Johnny Knoxville Sparks Laughter and Controversy at ESPN College GameDay

In Knoxville, Tennessee, Saturday was anything but ordinary. President Donald Trump attended, and the top college football team, the Texas Longhorns, faced off against the Tennessee Volunteers. Johnny Knoxville, known for his outrageous stunts on MTV’s ‘Jackass,’ was the celebrity guest picker on ESPN College GameDay.

Knoxville made headlines with his bold statements. Dressed as a Tennessee Volunteers player, he offered predictions with a comedic twist. When choosing between Missouri and Mississippi State, he joked, ‘I’m so sure about this game that if Missouri loses, I will listen to Pat McAfee’s new album on repeat until Halloween.’ This comment left ESPN analyst Pat McAfee laughing.

During the Georgia vs. Oklahoma selection, Knoxville compared the teams to unpleasant medical conditions. ‘This is like rooting for the gout versus the syphilis. I’m going with the gout. I’ll take Georgia,’ he remarked, causing an astonished reaction from McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit.

Knoxville continued with criticisms directed at LSU head coach Lane Kiffin. After Kiffin’s exit from Ole Miss and a recent loss, Knoxville quipped, ‘He is to college football what toe fungus is to flip flops. I’m going with Texas A&M.’

While predicting the Tennessee vs. Texas game, Knoxville claimed, ‘Tennessee will remain the real UT, and Texas will remain the real UTI.’ This statement left hosts Rece Davis and Desmond Howard stunned.

The event was highlighted by Trump’s presence, alongside Tennessee Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn. The crowd welcomed Trump with massive cheers, as he has attended more college football games than any recent president.

Knoxville’s antics also included playfully trying to bribe a referee, adding more humor to his PG-13-rated appearance. Despite his outrageous comments, his participation was unique and added to the event’s excitement.
