New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson remains focused after a dramatic Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The Knicks achieved the greatest comeback in Finals history against the San Antonio Spurs. Despite leading the series 3-1, Brunson stressed that the team is treating it as if it’s tied at 0-0.
“As a team, you have to hold each other accountable. Whatever’s being said, positive or negative, you can’t really think about or worry too much,” Brunson said. He emphasized the need to stay focused, even as the NBA title nears.
For fans anticipating a win, Brunson remarked, “The fans are going to be the fans, but for us, we got to do our jobs.” His grounded approach follows an emotional Game 4, where the Knicks overcame a 29-point deficit to win 107-106.

With 36 points in Game 4, Brunson delivered key shots in the fourth quarter. This marked his best performance in this Finals series, with the Knicks improving to 2-0 this postseason when trailing by 20 or more in the fourth quarter. “First of all, it’s a position we really don’t want to be in, but we just keep fighting,” Brunson stated.
Brunson highlighted the importance of their fighting spirit: “It’s all about the habits that we create and situations we handle. It starts with just the mentality of giving it all, knowing you can be down 29 and still claw back.”
While not at his peak efficiency, averaging 29.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, Brunson’s contributions have positioned New York for its first championship in over 50 years. He shoots 39.6% from the field, battling a tough Spurs defense.
When asked about the Knicks fans, Brunson shared, “Obviously I love our fans, and they mean the world to me and to this organization. They deserve it, but I think most importantly, I just focus on what I got to do, and I’ll answer your question later.”
