Firefighters Extinguish Blaze at Fireworks Stand in Oklahoma

The Broken Arrow Fire Department in Oklahoma successfully extinguished a fire at a fireworks stand on Saturday night. The department reported the incident on Facebook, noting that there were ‘fireworks actively detonating’ when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The incident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. near E. Kenosha St. and S. 236th E. Ave. Firefighters responded promptly, and Engine 4 was first to reach the site. They found the fireworks stand ablaze with fireworks still going off.

A video captured by a passerby shows fireworks exploding from a burning trailer, which also caused temporary road closures in the area. As additional crews from A-Shift arrived, they swiftly managed to control the situation. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes, and the department confirmed no injuries were reported.

The incident took place just two weeks before July 4, a time when Americans celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays. Ensuring safety during this period is crucial as many people will engage in similar celebrations.

Alex Nitzberg, a writer for Fox News Digital, covered the story.
