Earth, Wind & Fire canceled their performance scheduled for Thursday evening in San Francisco. The cancellation was due to a medical emergency involving one of the band members. The announcement came just before the planned performance at Chase Center.
The band released a statement on their social media, stating, “We are unable to perform as scheduled tonight at Chase Center in San Francisco due to a medical emergency involving a member of our band.” As a result, the show with Lionel Richie will be rescheduled. The new date will be announced soon.
Ticket holders are advised to keep their tickets, which will be valid for the new date. Alternatively, refunds will be available at the point of purchase. The band apologized for any inconvenience and expressed gratitude for everyone’s understanding.
Details about the medical emergency have not been disclosed. The current lineup includes Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson. They recently joined Lionel Richie on the Sing A Song All Night Long Tour, starting in June. The tour has covered numerous locations across North America, including Canada, with the California segment just beginning.
