Mount Carmel vs. Marist

Mount Carmel secured a 56-26 win over Marist in a Catholic League Blue game. Junior tight end Ty Kennedy emerged as a pivotal player, catching four passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Cloherty completed 18 out of 33 passes, racking up 295 yards and five touchdowns. The Caravan, now at 4-0, scored 28 points in the final stretch despite Marist narrowing the gap to 28-20.

Homewood-Flossmoor vs. Sandburg

Homewood-Flossmoor defeated Sandburg 35-13 in a SouthWest Suburban Conference game. Vito Pickard Jr. contributed five tackles and a touchdown from a fumble return. Senior quarterback Rahsaan Coleman completed a significant 64-yard touchdown pass to John Gadson. The Vikings bounced back from their previous loss to Lincoln-Way East, improving to 3-1.

Lockport vs. Lincoln-Way West

With a commanding 38-15 victory, Lockport overcame Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban Conference. Griffin Russell, Lockport’s quarterback, threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown. Andrew Maloney, Donavan Gray, and Jaxson Little were among the touchdown recipients.

Jacobs vs. Burlington Central

Jacobs triumphed over Burlington Central with a 31-27 win in the Fox Valley Conference. Aiden Brunner’s two touchdowns in the second half, including the game-winner, sealed the victory. Austin Stennett aided the comeback with 263 passing yards and a 74-yard touchdown to Owen Crouch. Jacobs improved their record to 4-0.

Naperville North vs. Naperville Central

Naperville North defeated their rivals Naperville Central 21-14 in a DuPage Valley Conference match. Jayke Collins led the Huskies with 136 rushing yards and three touchdowns. This victory marked their third consecutive win in front of a full stadium audience of 6,000 at North Central College.

Zion-Benton vs. Stevenson

Zion-Benton’s determined effort led to a 42-23 victory over Stevenson in the North Suburban Conference. Jamere French ran for 297 yards and four touchdowns, while Kevin James caught two touchdown passes from Marquan Gordon. The Zee-Bees maintained their unbeaten record.

Prospect vs. Fremd

Prospect claimed a 35-21 win against Fremd in the Mid-Suburban League crossover. Caden Moran played a key role with three interceptions, two occurring in the end zone to thwart Fremd advances. His decisive plays contributed significantly to the Knights’ victory over another undefeated team.

Montini vs. Nazareth

Montini secured a dramatic win against Nazareth thanks to quarterback Israel Abrams’ 412 passing yards and four touchdowns. Abrams also added three rushing touchdowns. The decisive score came from a 33-yard pass to Damacio Ortegon with 34 seconds remaining. The Broncos managed to hold off Nazareth, with JJ Chapman throwing for 301 yards and three touchdowns.
