Campbell’s Soup Expands Gluten-Free and Bold Flavor Options

Campbell’s red-and-white soup cans are seeing an evolution with the introduction of new soups. This expansion aligns with the brand’s longstanding tradition of adapting to consumer needs.

Gluten-Free Addition

Campbell’s has partnered with Banza to launch a gluten-free version of its classic condensed chicken noodle soup. This move caters to the growing demand for gluten-free products among Americans. The new variety combines Campbell’s familiar chicken noodle soup with Banza’s gluten-free chickpea penne pasta, offering fans the traditional flavor they love.

Approximately 30% of the U.S. population seeks gluten-free options. The gluten-free market is expected to grow at a rate of 9.8% annually from 2026 to 2033. Gluten, a protein found in certain grains, is present in various foods like bread and pasta. Celiac disease, affecting 1% of the population, is an autoimmune condition triggered by gluten intake.

The Celiac Disease Foundation reports that only about 30% of people with celiac disease are accurately diagnosed. Non-celiac gluten sensitivity may affect more individuals than celiac disease. Symptoms can include depression, abdominal pain, and chronic fatigue.

“For over 125 years, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup has been a staple in homes across America,” stated Benjamin Crook, senior vice president of soup at Campbell’s Company. “Partnering with Banza allows us to deliver traditional chicken noodle taste to the gluten-free market.”

The new gluten-free soup is available on Amazon and will soon be in stores nationwide.

Chunky Soup Collaborations

Campbell’s Chunky has teamed up with Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) to create Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Chicken Noodle Soup. This partnership is part of BWW’s growing off-premise business arm, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, focusing on takeout and delivery.

Campbell’s aims to attract the next generation of soup consumers through modern and bold flavors. 70% of Americans prioritize protein consumption, according to a 2025 survey by the International Food Information Council. The BWW soup offers 17 grams of protein per 18.8-ounce can, now available in retailers.

Bold Flavor Innovations

Last fall, Campbell’s introduced two new Chunky soups to enhance their offerings. The Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo Soup features chorizo and potatoes in a creamy cheese enriched with Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer flavor. Another option, Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans, showcases seasoned beef, beans, smoky bacon, and PBR flavor. These soups are exclusively at Walmart.

Campbell’s CEO Mick Beekhuizen noted an increase in at-home cooking, driving consumers to choose their brands for value, quality, and convenience amid a surge in soup sales.
