Buffalo Bills Secure Win; WR DJ Moore Faces Injury Concerns

The Buffalo Bills extended their strong offensive performance in Week 2, achieving a decisive 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions during “Thursday Night Football.” However, wide receiver DJ Moore’s shoulder injury during the attempt to catch a touchdown pass in the second quarter marked a significant concern for the team ahead of Week 3.

According to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network, Moore was unable to return for the remainder of the game following the injury. He did not register any receptions and only completed one rushing attempt for -1 yard in the matchup.

Moore had made an impressive debut for the Bills in Week 1, where he secured five receptions for 100 yards and recorded one touchdown during their 36-21 triumph over the Houston Texans. His acquisition from the Chicago Bears involved a trade deal with a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick during the offseason.

Following the victory, head coach Joe Brady emphasized Moore’s impact on the team and his worth in the trade, stating, “There’s a reason we brought him here and the plays he can make down the field.” Brady acknowledged Moore’s significant contribution to the team dynamics and stressed his importance despite statistics not capturing every aspect of his game.

With Moore sidelined, quarterback Josh Allen relied on Dalton Kincaid, who stepped up impressively with seven receptions covering 95 yards and notching a touchdown. Keon Coleman also delivered a solid performance with six receptions for 63 yards, while Joshua Palmer caught a 43-yard touchdown pass.
